Nail Surgery

Difficult or ingrowing nails prone to infection can be treated with a minor surgical procedure. If you’re caught in a cycle of repeat appointments, or courses of antibiotics this treatment aims to offer long term relief without the long waiting lists.
The aim of this procedure is to cure your ingrowing nail, using phenol which prevents part (or the whole) nail from growing back.

Recovery time depends upon your general health but should be approximately 6-8 weeks.
You will require an assessment appointment to ensure this treatment is suitable and to make an individual plan in the first instance.

Nail surgery:

  • One toe £360
  • Two toes– £450
  • Dressing pack – all you need to care for your toe while it recovers £40

Nail reconstruction

Damaged or unsightly nails can be repaired by building layers of Pedisafe onto the nail bed and set with a Ultraviolet lamp. The Pedisafe product is long lasting but must be relaced after6 weeks to prevent build-up of undesirable microorganisms.

The restored nail has a natural finish and can be painted at home, if desired.

If you choose this treatment it is important to keep the toe/s completely dry from the evening before your appointment to allow a successful application.

Essential podiatry appointment plus £25 per toe.

Please note nail reconstruction may need to be completed over several appointments, please book an essential podiatry assessment in the first instance.
